New E-recording Features
All New Jersey cover pages now automated.
The state of New Jersey recently made a legislative change requiring all recordable documents to have a cover page. The majority of counties in New Jersey handle this cover page on their end. However, Morris, Somerset, Hunterdon, Hudson, and Sussex counties require submitters to supply a cover page using their templates. We’ve added these cover pages to Simplifile so they will be added automatically when submitting to those counties.
Submitters may now print rejection reasons.
We’ve added back the ability to print the rejection reasons associated with a document. When viewing the reasons, you’ll find the print icon in the top right.
Notifications added for new messages.
You’ll now see a number next to Message in the menu when a new message has been added to a package by another user.
Submitter name now included in search results.
When searching for a package, you’ll now see the name of the submitter associated with the package. This makes it easier to identify who is working on what within an organization.
New icon informs counties of older packages still in queue.
To help counties prioritize documents based on when they’re submitted, you’ll now see an icon when viewing a document or the main menu, indicating that there are older packages waiting to be reviewed.
Counties can now edit document information after recording.
Sometimes counties need to change recording information after a document is recorded. Now you can choose Edit Recording from the search page to make changes.
New automatic recording option added.
In order to save counties time, we’ve added an option to automate the recording queue. This option will apply the recording numbers and stamps to the document automatically. You can turn on this option from the main menu.
